Meet Sara

With over 13 years of teaching experience at the International School of the Sacred Heart and Yokohama International School, I have dedicated my career to helping children become confident, curious, and lifelong learners.
I believe every child has the ability to succeed when they are supported, encouraged, and given the time they need to learn at their own pace. My goal is to create a positive learning environment where children feel safe to take risks, celebrate their achievements, build confidence, and develop a genuine love of learning.
As a proud graduate of the International School of the Sacred Heart and the University of East London, where I studied Early Childhood Education, I have always been passionate about helping children discover the joy of learning. Throughout my career, I have worked with children from diverse backgrounds and have seen firsthand how confidence and meaningful relationships can transform a child's learning journey. These experiences continue to shape every program and class at Book Tree.
Book Tree was created from both my experience as an educator and my journey as a parent. I wanted to build more than an English program—I wanted to create a welcoming community where children feel inspired to explore, ask questions, and develop a lifelong love of reading and writing. Every lesson is thoughtfully designed to combine engaging literature, creativity, and hands-on learning while recognizing that each child learns differently.
Today, Book Tree is an international literacy academy built on one simple mission: to bring out every child's potential. Whether a child is taking their first steps in reading or becoming a more confident writer, my goal is to help every learner grow at their own pace, celebrate their progress, and discover the confidence to reach their full potential.
I look forward to welcoming your family to the Book Tree community and being part of your child's learning journey.
